My name is Joshua Choy and I’m a founder of and tutor at LLCTutoring. I’m part of the Castro Valley High School’s track and field and cross country teams. I enjoy reading books and playing video games. Academically, I enjoy math, business, and computers. I’ve taken advanced courses as well and look to help others succeed in them.

Michael Lac

My name is Michael Lac, I am a founding member of LLCTutoring and have in-depth experience tutoring. I have previously worked at Ibest Learning Center not only as a teacher assistant but a teacher as well on top of previous private tutoring. I have experience with multiple AP courses and know how to guide people through them best. I enjoy running, and video games in my free time. At school I enjoy computers and mathematics. I hope to share my knowledge with other people and help them succeed!

My name is Hudson Lim and I am a founding member and tutor of LLCTutoring, In school, I enjoy math and history classes while also having snacks and lunch with my friends. Outside of school, I enjoy running, reading, and participating in my youth group. Personally, I have experience with multiple AP courses and subjects and am eager to help out any who are taking those courses after. I look forward to working with you in the future!

Halina Nguyen

Hi! My name is Halina Nguyen and I am the Marketing Manager and a tutor for LLCTutoring. I have experience designing flyers and advertisements for various events. At CVHS, I have taken multiple AP and Honors courses, with my favorite subject being math, and I am currently on the varsity cheerleading team. I enjoy working with kids and I currently coach the Canyon Middle School cheer team. I am looking forward to helping your student!

Grace Lin

My name is Grace Lin, a tutor at LLCTutoring. I have 4 years of tutoring experience with kids ranging from Elementary to Middle school. Outside of school, I’m an assistant coach for Canyon Middle School Science Olympiad. In school, I enjoy taking rigorous STEM classes. I have experience with different subjects and am happy to share methods that helped me improve my learning.

Hello! I’m Emma Pham, and I am a senior at CVHS. I’ve been an Early Leaner’s Instructor at Kumon for 4 years, and have tutored students from preschool to high school. Having taken a variety of Honors and AP courses, I have plenty of resources to best meet your students needs. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading and volunteering! My tutoring style is based on patience, genuine understanding, and application. I teach my students foundational habits and thought processes they can apply across all subjects. My name is Joshua Mak and I am currently a senior at CVHS. I have over 5 years of experience teaching kids academics, swimming, music, and have gained strategies and techniques that can help your kid excel academically. These strategies help develop good study habits and I awarded by AP Scholar my junior year. On the side, I enjoy playing tennis for the CVHS varsity team, playing the piano, guitar, and drums, and I also enjoy exercising. I look forward to working with your student!

Hi! My name is Carissa Lee and I’m a senior at CVHS. I’m the ASB Treasurer, and for 8 years, I have loved playing the violin and guitar. I work with kids of all ages through Sunday School, babysitting, soccer refereeing, and volunteering around the community. I’ve taken any advanced courses, my favorite subject being math, and have learned helpful study techniques to assist others.
